Bipartisanship Obliges at Gulfstream Park
Bipartisanship rallied late to land her first Stakes win in the Tropical Park Oaks at Gulfstream Park on Sunday. Settled towards the rear of the field early on, she showed an impressive turn of foot to come through a tight gap and land the $100,000 Listed race by a comfortable half length.
A private purchase from Willie McCreery’s yard in Ireland earlier this year. She is a daughter of Bated Breath out of the Oasis Dream mare Dream Wild. She is from the incredible Juddmonte family of Classic winner WINCE and G1 winners QUIFF, CONTREDANCE, SKIMBLE, MARKETING MIX, etc. Another valuable bit of Black Type to an already impressive family, her value as a broodmare later in life is another exciting angle about her.
Following the race, trainer Graham Motion said, “I was a little worried at the top of the stretch. It looked like (Lopez) had nowhere to go, but it all worked out. I think she was much the best. She didn’t have a very good trip. She has done things very nicely. She’s a nice filly to be around.”
Congratulations to owners Fortune Racing, trainer Graham Motion and jockey Paco Lopez.
