Bright future for private purchase Anisette
The three-year-old daughter of Awtaad was purchased privately after breaking her maiden for Kevin Philippart de Foy at Wolverhampton in late December. Monday’s run was Anisette’s first for trainer Leonard Powell in California and she looks to have a very bright future judging by the manner in which she came from the back of the field under Flavien Prat to dive up the rail and win going away under hands and heels.
Anisette was bred by the Morera Partnership, in whose colours she won at Wolverhampton, and is out of Tutti Frutti, a Teofilo half-sister to the Group 1 Nassau Stakes winner Soft Centre.
