Magnificent by name, Magnificent by nature

Magnifient, a four-year-old son of Zebedee, wins again at Happy Valley for trainer Peter Ho. In an impressive performance, Magnificent sat off the leaders in the early stages of this valuable one mile handicap. He took control just over a furlong out and drew clear, stamping his dominance on his rivals as he went on to win by a decisive two-and-three-quarter lengths.
Magnificent, from the family of G1 winners STAND TO GAIN, WINSILI and RAINTRAP, was a private purchase by Avenue Bloodstock from the yard of trainer Richard Hannon.
Congratulations to all connections including owner Ting Ping Sing, trainer Peter Ho and rider Zac Purton.
