Magnifient a four-year-old son of Zebedee, gets off the mark at Happy Valley for trainer Peter Ho.  In an impressive performance, Magnificent led from the outset of the race before being challenged in the closing stages. He kept on well and showed a great constitution staying on well to dead-heat with John Moore charge Encouraging.

Magnificent was a private purchase by Avenue Bloodstock from the yard of trainer Richard Hannon last summer.
