It has been a busy and productive summer so far for the Avenue Bloodstock team as they have continued to expand their global client base, making some significant bloodstock purchases. Most recently Avenue were successful at the inaugural Goffs UK Goodwood Sale when purchasing Lot 8, Curiosity, to go to Singapore.

Curisoity, a dual winner for Newmarket trainer, Hugo Palmer, was also Royal Ascot placed when second in the Brittannia Stakes this year. He is a good looking son of High Chaparral and was purchased for £390,000 on behalf of Mr Ngo Tai Tak and will be heading into training with Lee Freedman.

Last month also saw Avenue Bloodstock make three significant private bloodstock purchases for Hong Kong. Merlin Magic, a three year old son of Camelot and a two time winner when in training with David Elsworth, will be heading to trainer Tony Cruz. Magnificent, a three year old by Zebedee from the Richard Hannon yard, and Headway, a dual winner from the William Haggas stable, will both be going to trainer Peter Ho.

Earlier in the summer the Avenue Bloodstock had a noteworthy trip to Australia when purchasing two mares at the Magic Millions Gold Coast National Broodmare Sale in May. Lot 1095, a beautiful daughter of leading Australian sire Redoute’s Choice, Haut Ton, was purchased for A$130,000. A two-time winner, she has already produced a G2 horse in Ceau Geste from just two names foals. She is herself a daughter of G1 winner Fine Society.

Also purchased by Avenue Bloodstock in Australia, was Lot 746, Ocean Magic. This young mare was an astute buy by Mark McStay at just A$10,000. A multiple winner, she is from a strong European family including Champion Zhukova and Classic winner Nighttime.

Avenue Bloodstock continued to up the pace when purchasing Lot 24, Mr Reckless from the Goffs London Sale for £200,000. A multiple winner, he is a half-brother to the talented Listed winning filly Set To Music, who was also a runner up in the G2 Park Hill Stakes.
