SET POINT and NOMAN continued the string of impressive two-year-old winners for in-form Newmarket trainer Hugo Palmer.

SET POINT confirmed the promise he showed on his debut with a commanding victory at Nottingham on October 14th.  Purchased by Avenue Bloodstock, this striking son of Sea The Stars bolted upon a hotly-contested 1m1/2f Maiden Stakes by over two lengths under a great ride by Ben Curtis.  He is the first foal out of the Black-type performing Hot Sauce from the family of King’s Stand S (G1) hero PROHIBIT.  Congratulations to owner Mr. John Livock and breeders Highfort Stud and Mrs Oliva Hoare, he looks an exciting prospect for the future.

NOMAN, also having his second start, cruised to a one-and-three-quarter-lengths victory in a competitive Novice Stakes at Wolverhampton on October 17th.  After finishing third in a Newmarket Maiden first time out he  was given a patient ride by jockey Callum Shepherd, sitting mid-division until a furlong from home where he readily responded and ran on well to the wire.  This handsome son of Shalaa was purchased for 70,000 guineas at the 2019 Tattersalls Book One Yearling Sale.  He is a half-brother to Listed winner ERYSIMUM and from the family of G1 winner VENTURA STORM, G2wG1p MARAAHEL and GUTAIFAN.  Congratulations to owners Al Shaqab Racing and breeder Eimear Mulhern.
