Two-Year-Olds Taking Flight

The last week has produced three exciting prospects that were purchases of Avenue Bloodstock.  All two-year-olds and trained by Hugo Palmer, the three colts capped off a fantastic week for Hugo.

IRISH LEGEND, a private purchase, showed a lot of ability on his debut wining by a neck over Godolphin’s Royal Touch in a 1m 1/2f Maiden at Notthingham.  The handsome son of Sea The Stars is a close relation to top-class filly COVERT LOVE.  His trainer is keeping his options open and said the horse might make one more start this year, either running back with a penalty or he may look at the Silver Tankard at Pontefract.  This lovely colt is owned by Boniface Ho Ka Kui.

“He’s a lovely horse and I hope he’s got a bright future.  He’s very much next year’s horse,” said Palmer.

Another two-year-old getting off the mark the first time of asking is the flashy son of Starspangeledbanner, THE ROSSTAFARIAN.  In an impressive display, he cruised to a four-and-a-half-length victory over a competitive field in a one mile Novice at Salisbury.  He is likely to step up into Stakes company in the near future.  A purchase from the 2019 Arqana Deauville August Yearling Sale for €57,000 and is owned by Middleham Park Racing.

LONDON PALLADIUM provided a second victory this season.  On testing ground, this colt showed a tenacious attitude putting the race to bed from two furlongs out to land this 0-95 Nursery Handicap by a cosy two lengths.  A son of Showcasing, this athletic colt was purchased at the 2019 Tatts Ireland Yearling Sale for €65,000 and is owned by Livock, Lacy, Seabrook and Tarbuck.

Congratulations to all connections, they are three exciting colts to look forward to for the future.
